Jon Hurley is a writer and broadcaster on wine who has worked in most aspects of the trade. He is the author of a Matter of Taste, a history of wine drinking in Britain, and Wine for Game and Fish, the sporting Wife's wine Companion. Jon holds a diploma in Oenology and a Wine and Spirit Association Senior Diploma. He graduated from the German Wine Academy with top marks. Jon is an experienced and entertaining lecturer and has extensively travelled the world of wine .
The private Wilton Suite is an ideal venue for up to 12 persons. Larger numbers would be accommodated in the Mulberry Restaurant.

His wife Heather is a local historian and experienced leader of walks, she has written books and guides about Herefordshire and the Wye Valley including The Old Roads of South Herefordshire , Paths and Pubs of the Wye Valley, The Wye Valley Walk, The Story of Ross, The Story of Bill Mills, Landscape Origins of the Wye Valley and three books on the social history of pubs in the Wye Valley.
