Wilton Court Gains Added Recognition at the Heart of England Awards

Ross on Wye hotel` s reputation continues to build within the tourism industry

The Wilton Court Hotel (at Ross on Wye , Herefordshire)  has been Silver Winner  within the Small Hotel and Taste of the Heart categories of the Heart of England - The West Midlands Region Excellence in Tourism Awards 2009. Held on October 29th at Birmingham`s International Convention Centre, the regional  `Excellence  in Tourism Awards  2008 . The awards  ceremony covered 21 categories that brought together the within the West Midlands, drawn from across Birmingham, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcester and Warwickshire.

Helen and Roger Wynn ( who previously worked at London`s Dorchester and in Hong Kong`s Shangri-la-hotels) brought the Wilton Court in May 2000, subsequently overseeing an extensive renovation of the property which has gone on to gain three AA star`s and two AA Rosettes. Just two mouths ago, the Wilton Court was included, for the first time, in the Visit Wales Gold Award List of accommodation for 2008/9

 On learning of the hotel`s latest success, Roger Wynn commented, "It is extremely gratifying to have been awared two silver winners  in the Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards, particularly as the competition in the West Midlands is extremely tough and standards are incredibly high. I congratulate all our staff who work incredibly hard and it`s marvellous that their dedication has again been rated so highly".
