Organizing an event is a daunting task. It becomes all the more stressful when the size of the gathering and the time of the event is extended over for days. Choosing a suitable venue is the most significant part as it affects the data, catering, the number of attendees, and transportation.
You must start worrying about the venue at least 4-6 months before if you want the best of it. after its finalization, you will have time to take care of hundred other things.

Location
The location of the venue must be easily accessible for a local event.
If the attendees would be coming from some other place, it is beneficial for you to arrange a venue within a reasonable distance of airports or hotels. Attach a map on the invitation or send them a link on Google Maps for a better experience.
Make sure that your event is not clashing with any local festival. Keep your eye peeled for any diversion of traffic that the administration may have notified for the day.
Parking
If you are considering that your attendees will come with their mode of transport, you must check whether the establishment has enough space for parking.
A venue giving vale parking will be more suitable for people coming through private transport. If you are handling the accommodation too, it will be great if you find a hotel that can host events also. This way you will be free of worrying about transportation and parking.
The size of the gathering
You must book a venue that can comfortably accommodate people that you expect can come to the wedding.
A place offering services such as free wi-fi and complimentary breakfast if the event extends over some days.
Personally go and check the size of the rooms and quality of linens. It is also important to make sure that the venue has enough toilets and bathrooms. If it appears that the venue doesn’t have enough power rooms, you may install mobile bathrooms for the same.
Services and Amenities
You don't need to hire a venue that gives catering services too.
The venue may have a kitchen and some of them make it mandatory to hire their catering services if you want to hold the event on their premises. It is hard to clean up after the event has been conducted.
If the gathering is big, do not forget to book a venue that provides in-house clean-up services. If that is not the case, try to make your team of volunteers or outsource it.
Environment
The venue needs to be organized in a place that matches the purpose of the vent.
For instance, you may hire a high-end restaurant for a business event.
For an intimate birthday party, a small boat will do.
A good old chapel in the countryside would be a hit for planning a wedding.
The decorations shall also be made as per the requirements.
